I fell asleep

Or, Today Will Be Another Double Post Make Up Day

Sons 3 & 4 having an impromptu nap about 2 years ago

I hit the wall last night and had to go up to bed just after 8. You know that “thonk thonk thonk” feeling you get when you’re over tired and it feels like your brain has shrunk and is bouncing around in your skull? I had that and blurry vision and just plain didn’t feel good, so I decided eh, screw it, and left everything for today.

I would have fallen right asleep but my littlest boy has gotten into the habit of sneaking out of bed and finding some empty corner of the house to play in. Why he can’t play that quietly and nicely by himself during the day is something of a mystery to us. In any case, now I can’t sleep because I’m listening to hear if he’s figured out how to open the balcony door or is trying to enrich uranium using common household ingredients.

This morning I have a lot to do but I’m not sure how I’m going to get it done with the kids literally running around in circles around me. I’ll probably try to leave the house and go and work in the library or something.I think if you go to the top floor where the ancestry microfiche is there aren’t very many hobos and you can work in peace.
