End of an Era

by Tracy

This is my second oldest son when he was just under two years old. He’ll be starting 3rd grade this Fall.

After going through the 4 O’Boys, I don’t guess this shirt can be passed down any more.

It’s just the teeniest bit weepy-making.

Oh WOW – it took me a few to realize that cutie pie in the picture is wearing THE shirt…. ! (I've never been very observant) Great picture… oh and the shirt? It is JUST getting GOOD! :)

OMG! That photo of you son is BEYOND cuteness.

What do you mean it can't be passed down anymore? You're young yet. If you have another boy, then I get to tell all my friends that I know a woman with five boys and I'll get an even more bewildered look than I do when I tell them you have four. It's fun for me to do that.

But I do have five boys Kathy! We just didn't get the soccer outfit until the second one was born!
(It is confusing because the oldest is 7 years older than the next one and lives with his Dad during the school year, so a lot of times I talk about doing things with the 4 little ones)

Awww thank you! I would get stopped on the street several times a day when he was a small baby so people could tell me how cute he was. Blonds really do get more attention, I guess.

Thank you Katherine! I can't bring myself to throw out that shirt, so we'll see if any of the grandkids will wear it.

Aw. I'm with Kathy (except I knew you had 5 boys). Try for six. That shirt's got plenty of wear yet.

I like how all you people without kids are telling me to have more. Mmmm-hmmmm.

My brother was blond like that too when he was little and people always used to stop my mom to gush over him.

It's got plenty of wear left in it and even though it is a little faded it is in really good shape. My daughter gets a new shirt and within a day or two it has stains all over it and Sharpie marks on it.

    He is adorable!

I'm so embarrassed. I knew that. I was thinking of the boys who are close in age, you're right. Honest to God, I did know. I went to Catholic school, so you know I'd never lie.

    Now what about a sixth?

  • http://www.ihatemymessageboard.com/ Tracy O'Connor

People always used to say “He's so cute! He must look like his dad!”

    Uh, thanks?

  • http://www.ihatemymessageboard.com/ Tracy O'Connor

Ohhhh! That reminds me of my greatest mothering triumph – getting bright blue sharpie out of some brand new Hanna Anderson pajamas I'd splurged on for the boy (for those without kids, they are about $30 for one set of PJs – comfy as anything but you can get two sets of jammies at Target for like $17)

Ha, I get confused myself sometime. And I know I confuse people with the way I group them.

But no, there will be no sixth, I've just about got them all in school!

So are you retiring it and framing it and putting it up on the wall?

I guess this means it is time to have a girl finally!

  • http://www.ihatemymessageboard.com/ Tracy O'Connor

I might do that. Most of the outgrown clothes that are in good condition will be donated to Goodwill but there are a lot of clothes that mean something to me that I can't part with. I'm thinking of having them made into a quilt, but this shirt is made of material that I don't think would work for that.

Yeah, we're letting everyone else in the family take care of the XXs for us.

Ahahaha! My son looks NOTHING like me. But, he sure acts like me!

No words exactly matching to describe the post and my feelings after reading the post. It was
not a waste of time that I spent on staying here and in reading out the whole. Some good piece of information shared though my topic of search was Long Layered Haircut. But I got some different sort of information which is good as well. Keep it up!
