Saturday Night Link Up

by Tracy

I’m still swamped with work, mostly on getting Potty Training Power up and ready for some exciting new changes so I haven’t been around as much as usual. It’s also the end of the school year so things have been crazy around here.

Here are my most recent posts on Health Compare Guide:

11 Things Your Grocery Store Doesn’t Want You To Know

You probably already knew some of these but it’s always good to be reminded. I can’t be the only one who goes into autopilot at the store and winds up buying stuff that I don’t really need.

10 Things You Thought Were Cheap But Really Aren’t

Like the old saying goes “I’m too poor to buy cheap.”

Stop Burning Money on Clothes You Don’t Wear

There is literally a mountain of clothes in one of our bedrooms waiting for me to sort because it took me forever to learn this lesson. At least Goodwill will make out, if I can ever get around to tackling this job. I’m almost tempted to donate it all and just buy all new clothes as the need arises.

Who Else Wants to Stop Going to Sleep Exhausted and Wake Up Smiling Each Day

In theory, I have excellent sleep hygiene. In theory.

10 Foods You Thought Were Okay but Really Aren’t

I’m always shocked when I read the nutrition information on yogurt. And why is it so hard to find plain yogurt without anything but milk in it?

Funny Posts:

How Did We Survive at Redhead Ranting. Jen posted photos from her childhood which show how our ideas about safety have changed a lot over the years. The picture of her lying facedown in her bassinet is priceless!

I am Going to Forget I Saw This So You Don’t Have To at I Do Things. JD talks about those blasted Charmin bears and those darn pieces they leave behind.

Twix or Tweets at Mental Poo. I do not actually know this blogger but I enjoyed reading his tweets in digest form.

Posts that Made Me Think:

The Truth About This Comedy Writer at Junk Drawer Blog. Kathy talks about how some of the assumptions people make about people who write humor might not necessarily be true.

How to Write Your Ass Off by Johnny B Truant at Copyblogger is in a similar vein and talks about his writing alter ego and how it’s helped him be a bolder, more confident and more effective writer.

I’d also like to invite everyone to check out Nanny Goats in Panties new look, it’s really sleek.

What did you read this week that was awesome?

Hey wow! Thanks for the shout out. You da man!

Another great round-up (ahem). I love Mental Poo. You've got to read his “Hulk Readers Notes to Teachers” posts. Hilarious.

I still think Jen has a potentially awesome theme for a new blog with her “How Did We Survive” photos. I bet a lot of people have childhood pictures of them doing something life-threatening — while smiling and waving to the camera.

LOVE Nanny Goats' new look. And I really love HealthCompare. It's just plain good straightforward advice, given in an interesting and entertaining way. WIN!

Thanks for the link! You rock.

I thought I had left a comment last night but I think my connection conked out and I gave up. Rod (Moooooog) is hilarious, his tweets are legendary and I can't help but cry and or pee when I read his posts.

I love JD, Margaret, and Kathy with all my heart, they are the funniest writers on the internet. As are you. I'm still laughing at that cooter comment and your blog posts you haven't written are going to be classic as soon as you write them.

Dude – I should totally steal Mooooooooooooog's idea and repost all my
comments left on other people's blogs. Some of them are quite nice, I think.

Yes, you should, your comments are totally classic. They are so funny and
omg the one you responded to to Ben about being shallow and self serving was
legendary. I was thinking of doing a post about great comments left but that
would take organization. All of yours would be in it. I so look forward to
    your comments.

I really think she should go for it, too. All you would need is a tumblr
    blog, right?

Seriously, Jen, do it quick before I steal the idea!
