You’ll remember that last week I designated Saturdays as my day to spread a little link love through the blogging community. Unfortunately, this week was crazy busy so I didn’t get a chance to do a lot of reading so I asked some of my blogging friends to give me recommendations for sites that they love so that I could explore them and share them with you. They had some really great suggestions that I’m proud to share:
Iraqi Jackie - she’s a combat medic currently serving a tour in Iraq. I’m really enjoying her great sense of humor and reading about what her life is like as a young woman serving in the US Army.
Yes, I Want Cake – of course I love all the pictures of yummy food but what really grabs me are the cute stories she shares about the third graders that she teaches.
Seafood Punch – the post with the pictures of the romance novels cracks me up!
Mama Mia, Mea Culpa – I linked directly to one of the funniest posts involved a banged up senior citizen that I’ve ever read. And I’ve read plenty.
Carissa Jaded – hilarious and lots of mentions of poop on the first page of posts, which I always consider a plus.
Confessions of a Cashier – I think most of us who’ve ever worked with people or know some or seen some somewhere can relate to her stories about working as a cashier.
Two Hands and a Roadmap – the blog of one of my really good friends. She’s just recently started blogging again and is participating in the Blogathon with me. She has a very unique, natural writing voice and I’m so happy to see her sharing it with the world.
I’m really looking forward to reading more from these blogs! If you have some suggestions for great blogs that could use a shout-out, don’t be shy about leaving them in comments!
Today I also finally updated my about me page, fixed my contact me page and added “Greatest Hits” to help folks find the best stuff in this blog. I feel a great sense of accomplishment.

Oh, Oh, I know some of these like Meleah, Carissa, Seafood Punch and Confessions of a Cashier, but I don't know the rest and can't wait to meet them. Your links are always so great, I'm heading over now to meet some great peeps.

Many of these link round-up posts are chock (HA! I first typed “cock” I AM TOTALLY NOT KIDDING!) anyway: chock-full of weak and watery links to insipid posts. But your roundups are quality.

I like a good round up post. I know a lot of folks don't and that's why I'm doing it on a Saturday so it's out of the way but there for folks when they come back to work on Monday bored and wishing they had something good to read.
