I know book prices seem high, but production costs and marketing are also high. Then you have the book companies needing to price to make up for all the books which don’t sell – which are a majority of books printed.

From a writer’s perspective, I don’t mind spending $10-$20 (or more, sometimes) for something which will give me a week or so’s entertainment. And considering that some writers spend a year or more on a book, the money doesn’t seem like too much for their investment of time. As long as the book is good, of course.
