Has George Michaels ‘Father Figure’ made the list? That whole song is just so wrong! I never really listened to it before until last weekend. It was being blasted from the rafters in a shopping arcade in Northern Ireland. I was waiting for my husband to finish at the cash and was thinking how the hell did this song get released???

When I was in high school I was walking down the street near school. I was wearing a leather jacket even though it was about 100 out. Some other kids drove by and yelled "Never Surrender" at me. I just realized, did anyone mention “Don’t stand so close to me,” by the Police?

Young school girl in love with the teacher – creepy, especially with the number of teacher/student relationship cases in the media over the last decade. Creepy – although still one of my favorite songs.

Now I need to go listen to some Police….

Don’t judge me, but Into The Night was one of my most favourite songs when I was an angsty pre-teen. And I would lip sync it–with angst! Feeling! Verve! Clenched fists, closed eyes, bent knees! Emote!

I actually sing a lot of songs like that still. Usually in the car at full volume at a stoplight while idling next to one of my many nemeses.
