@Sym the essence of artificial is probably the epitome of truth in advertising! I wish I'd gone ahead and bought the bottle.

And perhaps I will take you up on that dare someday.

@Jaime Solomon Gundy is melodic! And has connotations of cannibalism. I am intrigued.

For reasons I don't understand (and don't think I want to), the jar of Solomon Gundy made an instant connection to Eleanor Rigby in my head. Cue requisite humming and mental singing: "Solomon Gundy died in the church and was buried along with his name..."

Followed, naturally, by an unnerving Soylent Green moment.

Jaimie´s last blog post..Seriously, CNN? SERIOUSLY?

Of all the funny tidbits, why did "It's the essenece of artificial !" crack me up so much ? Literally LOL'd, although I did not ROFLMAO, I did really LOL. Hey, I dare you to drink 12 oz of 'Beef Iron and Wine Nutritive Supplement' and then stay up all night blogging and posting away. Seriously, I double-dog dare you. It would, at a minimum, be better than my post-op Vicodin inspired musings of a few weeks ago.

What I want to know is what those things are sticking up on the left side of the first shot, the "Glory and Beauty," are. Look like eels with rigor mortis. Or that part of the bull not normally eaten, much less mentioned!

@Nathalie I bet if I managed to cook it in the pressure cooker so that it inflated my traffic would go through the roof.

@OpinionatedAnt I bet it's one of those supplements that makes hair grow on your chest

@Heather B okay i have to ask, are the taste buds pre scraped off? Because that's what's holding me back.

@Mike Nichols Essence of Artificial Ingredients sounds so wistful, does it not? Like some sort of Proustian memoir for our age.

@Cuddly see above question about taste buds

@Meredith I think maybe that's what little boys are made of. Little girls are made of good stuff like asparagus and shrimp risotto!

@Vered It really does! Especially if you have a grocery store that serves a much older population. Our Piggly Wiggly has all sorts of canned and bottled stuff for the older people that grew up not having as much access to fresh food that they couldn't grow.

@Writer Dad Do they have the live fish in the tank? That's what my kids love. It's better than a trip to the zoo!

@Patricia I'm still wavering on the tongue. I might have to try that in a restaurant, because that's a whole lot of tongue just to have one bite.
