Hi Tracy,

I saw this post of yours the other day when I was on your site, but wanted to make time to read it word for word, so here I am again.

I agree with what Tim says about the language we use when we talk to ourselves. We seem to have a lot of self imposed expectations and feel like failures when we don't meet our self imposed standards. I've gotten better at realizing I'm only one person with "x" number of hours in a day and can't please everyone. Putting priorities in place has helped me to make better use of my time has taught me that which I don't get done today, WILL wait until tomorrow. Sometimes, tomorrow never comes, and that's okay, too.

Barbara Swafford´s last blog post..Doing It All With Ease

Hi Shamelle! Welcome and thanks!

Hi Johnny! Eep! I thought I had one. Thanks, I will put in the plug in tonight. I think the language thing was the idea I was most resistant to when I first started learning about what would be involved in coaching, but since it has been yielding results I'm finding it easy to want to practice.

This might be embarrassing to admit, but aside from his cameos on movies, I have no idea whatsoever what Tony Robbins is like. I would hope he's very campy.

Hi Positively Present! I love your user name. Welcome and thanks for commenting!

Hi GG! Thanks! I bet you love the part where I moan and groan less the best!

Hi Vered! It is hard to let go of caring too much what people think. I think blogging is a great way to gain confidence, because just the act of starting a blog with the expectation that people will read it is incredibly bold. How many times have you heard somebody say that they wouldn't start a blog because they aren't arrogant enough to think that anyone would care what they think (funny how they didn't find that too arrogant to say!)

Nobody is giving you permission when you blog and I find that equal parts exhilarating and terrifying at this point.

Interesting. I can see myself in a lot of what you're saying about yourself. I guess it's no coincidence we like each other so much. :)

Caring less about what others think is a huge priority for me right now. Blogging is helping, because you HAVE to develop a thicker skin when you blog.
