Or, you better hope this never makes it to America, Handi-Snacks!
It’s a refreshing change to have something delicious to taste and write about. Although one worries that all one can say is “Yum, that were goo-ood” which isn’t really what my readers have come to expect from me.
Luckily the package provided at least one thing to snicker at. I think Nutella Füllhöhe makes a delicious sounding euphemism. “Cody-Bob you make sure you wash your hands after you wipe your Nutella Füllhöhe, you don’t want to be spreading the dysentery all over the neighborhood again!” Oh yeah, the label is wet because I had to dig it out of the trash because I forgot to make sure to get a picture of that part of the package the first time. See what I do for you people?
Snicker.
Here are the ingredients, nutrition information and manufacturer’s information. Does anyone really care what Nutella & Go! is made of? I am intrigued by “Emulgator” but I’m sure it just means “emulsifier”.
“Herr Professor Doktor, Ve haf vays of persuading you to us the Emulgator giving. Alles Klar?”
As you see, it looks much like our friend Yan Yan, only I suppose it’s more hoity toity because it’s European and probably thinks it is fancy. Ha! I can get Yan Yans for a dollar at my local Asian store. One dollar! Or $10.17 for 10 and eligible for free shipping at Amazon (that’s totally a cue for you to buy some from Amazon and make me rich). Nutella & Go appears to be available at GermanDeli.com for $3.79 for one, plus shipping! Plus they are out of stock!
So, clearly Yan Yan kicks Nutella & Go’s Teutonic Füllhöhe.
I will say Nutella & Go was delicious. The breadsticks were well, breadsticks and the Nutella was, well Nutella. I suppose technically speaking it was a bit higher quality than Yan Yan, but on the other hand, it does not come in the wide variety of flavors, each costing only a dollar, and easily available at the Vietnamese/Mexican grocery just a bit up the road from me.
In case you were curious the Nutella Füllhöhe is not completely full of Nutella. It’s a pretty wasteful and expensive way to eat Nutella and breadsticks, but I could see buying it at a train station to eat on the train, if I lived in Europe and forgot to bring a snack from home for the train. Well, actually no, I’d get an Exquisa Snack, but if I were the kind of person who liked Nutella more than an Exquisa Snack and I wasn’t really clumsy and prone to accidentally getting my fingers in the dip, I could see getting Nutella & Go then, if it weren’t too expensive. Maybe. Depends on if the train station had sandwiches or not.
