I had the same thing happen after I filled out an online customer service form. I refused to take the call too, only I made my husband lie to them! If I wanted to talk to them, I would have called them. Really, I’m more concerned with these people and their lack of logic skills than my avoidance of the telephone.

My voice mail light has been blinking since last week. I refuse to acknowledge it and am bringing the wrath of many.

And at least now I know that you really aren’t always taking kids to bus stops, sometimes you’re just ignoring me! That’s okay, as a phone avoider, I can accept that. But I do plan to call every other month or so still!

@Lesley, it would probably make Darryl’s day if you are give him awesome phone. Heh. I have to figure out how to let people edit. I think there is a plugin that will let you edit your own comment for five or so minutes after you post it.

@George, my best guess is the baby, Mal, and it appears to be Teddy Grahams.

@Prisca, I don’t like being caught off guard either. I also don’t like initiating calls. Once I’m on the phone and the conversation is underway, I can talk with the best of them but I don’t like it and I feel exhausted after it is over. It’s actually usually not that bad, but on days when I’m all ready worn out and stressed, I revert.

That day I’d spent being screamed at and fought by 3 very fussy little people, so when the call came that evening I had no reserves left to deal with the stress of talking to a stranger on the phone.

BTW, talking to a stranger at the store or on the street? So not a problem for me.
