Amicelli Limited Edition Cappuccino Flavor

by Tracy on September 24, 2008

Before I started writing this, I decided to Google Amicelli to see what other flavors they might have, that I might be missing out on. It was then that I decided I might as well give up the snack food writing biz because my writing, it is not of the same caliber as my peers in the industry

Our friends at International-Chocolates.com have written the most delightful review of regular Amicelli and I strongly urge each of my readers to read it.

Amicelli is known as the light enjoyment on the highest level. The coated chocolate is melting on the tongue, which symbolize the absolute crowning of the seductive treat.

Does that not make you want to run to Switzerland and make sweet love to the Amicelli? I am seduced!

Back to my Amicelli, it is the limited edition Cappuccino flavor. I am growing weary of the limited edition this or that. Why bother even trying anything new? If I like it, it won’t be available again and I will miss it and if I don’t like it I will curse myself for not being loyal. I am a rock. I am an island. I will not put myself in a position of unfulfilled longing, I am far too sensitive for that. But my husband bought these and it would be rude not to try them, so what are you going to do?

I’ve pretty much forgotten my German, but basically it says it’s a crispy stick filled with a rich cappuccino creme and coated with chocolate.

See, a stick! And yeah, I promise one day I’ll take that course on “Pictures Without Shadows” at the community college.

And this is what it looks like inside. It’s pretty tasty but not really something I’d buy myself, too insubstantial. Maybe if I had company that I wanted to impress, I might buy it and put it on the saucer when I served coffee if I were the kind of person to have clean saucers just laying around, which I am not. Plus, there are 17 sticks in a box, what kind of quantity is that? 15 would have been okay, 20 would have been fine, but 17? That is not an auspicious number and doesn’t make any sort of sense. Isn’t 17 a prime number? Because you can’t package things in quantities that equal prime numbers larger than 5. Think about it. It doesn’t make any sense. Maybe greedy people who don’t share buy things that aren’t evenly divisible, but I’m a giver.

Nothing says love like the words “chocolate” and “crowning.” Remember that ring of fire? Yay, have a cappuccino stick!

That looks like the snooty cousin of a Twix bar. And I agree about the number 17!

17 is so that the hostess can snack them in to an even number before serviing…

Mixing chocolate with coffee is a crime in my book. I love chocolate, I hate coffee. What a waste of good chocolate. I would rather go rinse out a cherry blossom, not that I have ever done that.
However, these would be a good guest snack food for me to have on hand, as I would not be tempted to eat them all in a fit of PMS.
I’m baffled by the 17 count package. Perhaps I will shoot them an email. Worked for Bob’s.
