I really want to wake up in the wee small hours of tonight and switch the avs and sigs of various posters on my board to be the singers and their respective lyrics from “We Are The World”. It goes without saying that I’d get to be The Lionel. For better or worse somebody posted an article on Internet Lynch Mobs yesterday, so now I am too chickenshit. If evil robot hackers ever invade my message board, I hope they’ll do something fun like this.

But my lyrics are DEEP and MEANINGFUL and nothing says world peace and merry Christmas like clanging chimes of doom.
As someone that has moderated boards in the past (and the present) I’ve found that letting the members do the policing is often the best. Of course you CAN sick some friends on them if you want
. Trolls are bad but hackers are WAY worse. That’s not to say that you couldn’t institute an “I can change your title as I see fit” rule. This is your house. Plus, you could give out good AND bad titles. Make it a little more fair than those stupid chicklet systems of reputation they have.
Why do you get to be Lionel? Do you think you are the only Lionel lover on the board? Just because you have introduced Panko to us doesn’t automatically give you dibs on Lionel. I have my eye on you-my GOOD eye.
